Alton Delivers ‘Good Eats’

Dan Cederholm put up a short entry about Alton Brown and “Good Eats”.  Like Dan, I’m a huge fan of the show “Good Eats”, which you can catch on the FoodTV network.  I’m really not much of a cook and I don’t watch other shows, but Alton Brown has a wonderful knack for being able to explain things in a way you can understand.  Why should you add ingredients in a particular order?  Why is one type of flour better for pie crusts than another?  Those and tons of other questions are answered in every episode during the course of showing you how to cook something.

If you find some time, I highly recommend trying to watch a couple of episodes.  I think you’ll get hooked just like I did.

This is one Derek continually drops conversations for wink. I’ve got to try and watch it sometime to see what all the hype is about.

It’s strange to me, that i like so many violent shows and games, yet a cooking show draws me in every single time.

Nigella Bites is my favorate cooking show though. That’s one hot british mama with some cooking skills that rival new york chefs.
