For your Reading Pleasure

Been a bit bored lately (which I think is odd considering how many damn things I have going on right now) and decided to search out something good to read.  Cory Doctorow’s first novel was Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, a rather interesting look at a possible future filled with “Whuffie” and mind backups.  Yeah, it sounds odd, but the novel is actually rather good; good enough for me to purchase it at any rate.

Anyway, Doctorow also has some other short fiction available to read, many for free.  Probably my favorite of the ones I’ve read so far is 0wnz0red.  I also just finished reading Jury Service, which he co-authored with Charlie Stross.

Doctorow has a knack for imagining very interesting and engrossing worlds and it makes for good reading.  So, if you’re bored yourself give one of these a try.
