ISPs fighting back against the RIAA

It appears that at least one ISP is going to “fight back” against the RIAA‘s plan to essentually hack into customers’ computers.  The Infomation Wave ISP is going to block the RIAA’s IP from it’s network.

I can’t decide if that’s a good or bad thing, though.  Sure, I think the RIAA is proposing some pretty draconian measures, but at the same time I have a feeling that actions like this ISP’s are just going to precipitate worse responses…  I guess we’ll see.

Lets all settle this RIAA thing once and for all!
From now until December 1, 2003, or until the RIAA backs off, do not purchase any music CDs at all! Send a financial message that the RIAA will be unable to ignore. This is so easy, everyone can do it. Simply put off buying that CD you want until after December 1.
Worried about how this might effect your favorite recording artist? Don’t be. They will recover.

So spread the word! No CD purchases until after December 1, 2003 or until the RIAA backs off.
